Gold, Silver Smash Records as Trump Sets Feb. 1 Tariffs Over Greenland Standoff
Tariffs have driven gold to $4,689/oz and silver to $94 after Trump has outlined 10% duties from Feb 1 and 25% from June 1 on goods from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the U.K., the Netherlands and Finland, tied to Greenland dispute. European stocks have slipped; the BoJ meets Jan. 22-23.
