ETH is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain, which is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that enables the creation of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dapps). ETH is used to pay transaction fees and computational services on the Ethereum network, as well as to incentivize network participants to validate transactions and secure the network through a process called mining.
