If you change your mind after creating an exchange but didn't send any coins to the recipient's address, you will be shown "Waiting." At this point, you should leave it like that. You can be rest assured nothing will happen. On the contrary, if you have already sent your coins to the recipient's address, the process remains irreversible, and it is impossible to cancel your already conducted exchange at this stage.
