India Cracks Down on ‘Alarming’ Digital Payments Fraud With Strict New Rules
RBI has released directions setting dynamic authentication across India for digital transactions and payments by April 2026, aligning with the DPDP Act, adding issuer responsibility, and phasing in cross-border card-not-present controls by October 2026.
