Ex-PBOC Chief Warns of Stablecoin Crisis – Run Risk Echoes TerraUSD’s 2022 Meltdown
Ex-PBOC chief Zhou has warned that Stablecoin models can amplify risk through leverage and trading even with full reserves, and has called oversight insufficient. Hong Kong and U.S. rules have addressed custody and issuance, while a study has estimated a one-in-three crisis chance this decade.
